Eine anzahl von versionen und kopien von diesem malerei existieren , von welchem dass in das kunsthistorische museum , Von bis wien gilt als sich sich der primäre eins , oder der nächste dazu . Der text trug ein um den rand der nische basiert auf dem vers von genesis 3 : 15 : MVLIERIS SAMEN IHS SCHLANGE CAPVT VERTRAG , die wörter von gott adressieren die schlange nach dem Herbst : " es [ der samen von dem frau ] soll blaue flecken bekommen dein kopf . " Gossaert macht das bezug christus ausdrücklich in der weg dass die Kind läufe vorwärts , im rückblick bis zu das wort schlange .
